Tales from the fridge.

A car drove into the kitchen. The car was red and very small. Max has a new toy.
The D key on my computer is broken.

Winona Forever is playing with Short Term Effect at Heaton Perk in Heaton* on Thursday 7th of May. It starts at 7pm and will be pleasant. Come along and get some coffee. The show is free and the coffee is reasonably priced.

Today I made scrambled tofu and I am currently baking a cake.
I'm serious. Skrambled tofu is the best fucking thing. Here's how to make it.

STUFF:

1 big frying pan
1 wooden spoon
a knife

INGREDIENTS:

a bunch of mushrooms
half an onion
a block of EXTRA FIRM tofu
a couple of cloves of garlic
some spices (today i used paprika and chinese 5 spice)
some oil/margarine for cooking in (2-3 tbsp)

optional: peppers or leftover veggies, nutritional yeast is good too

GO!

a) chop yr onions, mushrooms, garlic and drain yr tofu
b) saute the onions in the oil for about 3 mins
c) crush in the garlic, add the mushrooms. Stir them aroun for about 2 mins.
d) add your spices. it should start looking and smelling even better.
e) crumble in the tofu. add a little water if everything is sticking.
f) stir for about 10-15 mins, so it goes all scrambly and soft.
g) towards the end add salt and pepper to taste (and the yeast)

enjoi.
